Maxim's Reliability Engineering Team is seeking a New Product Reliability Engineer - New College Graduate to support qualification activities of new products at the San Jose, CA location.

Job Description:

The engineer will be responsible for all aspects of the qualification process for Maxim's New Products.The engineer should be knowledgeable about semiconductor reliability physics, common failure mechanisms of semiconductor devices and state-of-the-art packaging processes and techniques. Responsibilities/duties include implementation of qualification tests, analysis and if required driving issues to resolution through the coordination of efforts with various functional groups. The engineer will have the opportunity to identify and improve or define processes and infrastructure. Additional responsibilities include and are not limited to interfacing with external laboratories, customers, and Sales/QA Teams worldwide.


- BSEE or higher or in a related science field such as Material Science or Physics
- Strong problem solving and computer skills, database programming and GUI interfaces is a plus
- Strong interpersonal/communication skills - written and verbal
- Demonstrated project management or organizational skills
- Hands-on flexible fast learning team player who can work independently
- Understanding of semiconductor theory, electronics (circuits), and applications.
- Familiar with the manufacturing processing steps of integrated circuits.
