Position Summary:
Maxim Integrated seeks an entry-level candidate with strong writing,
editing and project-management skills to fill a vital role on the
companyís Employee Communications Team. The Employee Communications
Specialist will assist with developing, implementing, and supporting
all of the major employee communications vehicles, including the
company Intranet (Maxim InSite) and the company newsletter (Maxim
World), with the goal of developing and maintaining a strong
collaborative culture and increasing employment engagement. Major
Accountabilities: Maxim InSite (Company Intranet) - Assist with daily
tasks, including: > writing and posting stories and news
announcements from locations around the world > making changes,
edits, updates, and additions to intranet sites and pages >
partnering with business groups to create and design new web pages >
working with in-house video team to display videos in various formats
> updating the company-wide calendar and delivery metrics charts -
Conduct trainings and assist internal business groups with their
intranet sites Printed Newsletter (Maxim World) - Assist with the
production of Maxim World by: > researching, writing, and editing
articles > working with colleagues worldwide to gather and organize
photos Photography - Take photos at company events - Create picture
galleries and manage Event Pictures web page Company Events - Serve
as production assistant for employee communication meetings, division
All-Hands Meetings and company-wide webcasts - Partner with Corporate
Communications Team, producers and events teams to execute internal
company meetings - Manage post-event measurement and surveys
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements: - Bachelorís degree in Communications, English,
Journalism, or related degree - Excellent written and verbal
communication skills; completion of journalism and upper-division
English courses are required - Highly proficient at editing and
proofreading - Quick thinker and learner - Must work well under
pressure and under tight deadlines - Must pay attention to detail and
be organized, flexible, and creative - Must work well independently
and with a team Preferred: - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and
SharePoint - Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat, and Dreamweaver - Experience
