Position Summary:

Position Summary: Need an experienced facilities specialist with a high degree of technical and project management knowledge to fill an hourly staff position in a fast paced semiconductor manufacturing plant and campus office location.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Assist facilities engineers, supervisors, and project managers with various technical activities
- Conduct project scoping exercises with requesters
- Prepare project cost and schedule estimates for review and acceptance by the requesters
- Knowledgeable in architectural, mechanical, and electrical drafting conventions and good engineering practice in order to produce construction documents for city permit applications.
- Prepare technical specifications and contract drawings for facility and/or tool installation projects.
-  Prepare RFPs, obtain proposals/quotes, evaluate, recommend award, and prepare PRs for facility construction, tool installation and related work.
- Coordinate multiple craft work scopes with existing operations for minimal disruption of ongoing business activities.
- Review, comment, track, and recommend approval of invoices regarding PRs processed.
- Maintain a current log of all cost transactions and balances remaining on blanket POs.


- Education: 2 yr. degree (college or trade school or equivalent experience)
- Five+ years in an industrial facilities technical position
- Five+ years experience in "hands on" semiconductor facilities systems such as:
- HVAC Systems: Water-cooled chillers/cooling towers, water-tube boilers (LP steam & hot water), process vacuum systems, make-up and recirculating air handling systems, humidification systems, etc.
- Pumping Systems: Primary and secondary chilled water loops, condenser water loops, hot water loops, process cooling water loops, UPW loops, runaround reheat loops, etc.
- Exhaust Systems: General exhaust, Fume Scrubbers, VOC abatement
- Electrical Systems: Voltages from control to 480 VAC, lighting automation, variable frequency drives
- Ultra Pure Water Production: RO/DI
- Industrial Waste Treatment: pH control, mixing equipment
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel (formulas & charts), Word, and have good skills with MS Project or equivalent scheduling program
- Must be able to read schematics (controls, mechanical, & electrical) and P&IDs
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD
- Candidate needs to be self-motivated, safety oriented, have good people skills, be able to multi-task and enjoy working in a fast-paced / fluid environment

Additional desirable skills/training/certifications:
- Licensed Master plumber, electrician, or HVAC technician
- Knowledge of PLC control and SCADA system programming
- Experience years: + 10 years engineering CAD
- Architectural or Engineering course work: + 2 years
- Knowledge of the following codes: IBC, IFC, IPC, IMC, NFPA, ASTM, ANSI
- Ability to self perform and/or assist in high purity pipe welding, both plastic and stainless stee
