Position Summary:
This position is in ESD group with
Technology R&D. A highly motivated ESD device engineer with
strong technical skills in the field is required to work on
development of new ESD protection solutions for advanced analog IC
products. The development is based on physical test chip
experimentation, product level validation using variety of ESD
development methodologies. They include circuit simulation,
mixed-mode TCAD, ESD layout design, pulsed measurements, failure
The responsibilities include development and release
of the ESD libraries; ESD research and development for new BCD
process technologies; active co-design support and technical guidance
for circuit design groups for ESD aspects; implementation of new ESD
IP in PDKs, product ESD design reviews and case studies.

An ideal candidate is expected to have:
- a strong cross-disciplinary technical background in physics of semiconductor devices, microelectronics and analog circuit design combined with direct experience in ESD field.
- strong communication skills both on the high technical engineering level and on a cross-team operational level with EDA, modeling, process integration, design and management.
- a solid intention to become one of the leading industry experts in ESD field and one of the key people at Maxim Integrated Corp.
- a direct experience with most of ESD methodologies and tools including physical ESD device design using TCAD, circuit simulation analysis, ESD test methods; failure analysis, understand ESD standards and test equipment, have a proficient knowledge in major analog blocks design.

5-10 years of direct industrial or research experience in the field of ESD development

at least MS, preferred Ph.D in electrical engineering.

US status: Permanent resident or US citizen
