We are searching for a
Senior/MTS level Thin Films Engineer to lead the area for
process transfer and improvement in a high volume manufacturing Fab
located in San Antonio, TX. Maxim San Antonio is a growing
manufacturing site, delivering Maxim's proprietary BCD processes with
high quality, low cost, and excellent cycle times. A qualified
candidate will have excellent process and equipment hands-on
experience and knowledge of the different chamber configurations used
for the various thin films included in the 0.35 and 0.18 um
- Take ownership of the area, and
lead by establishing the direction for improvements, sustaining and
- Lead a group of process
specialists in projects and daily sustaining activities.
- Team with process and
integration engineers to achieve first-pass success of technology
- Ensure matching of newly
installed equipment to support production ramp.
- Work closely with process
integration engineers to improve process metrics, including SPC,
yield, parametrics, and defects.
- Work with equipment engineering
to improve up-time and tool utilization.
- Implement advanced process
control to improve Cpk at critical levels.
- Identify cost savings
opportunities and drive projects to reduce overall costs.
- PhD or MS degree with
> 5 years Fab experience will be
- Proven strong skills in
statistics, SPC, DOE and data analysis techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal
- Hands-on experience with thin
film deposition tools as well as metrology.
- Good understanding of thin
films basics, applications, and deposition and characterization
- Good understanding of device
physics and device architecture.
- High degree of discipline, and
organization with the ability to multi-task and drive multiple
- Understand cycle time, process
flows and material management.
- Ability to analyze
problems and lead the area towards the development of effective
