The technology
development organization at Maxim is looking for a highly motivated
individual to define and develop next generation state-of-the-art
analog mixed signal technologies for Power Management applications in
consumer, industrial and automotive markets either in Chandler, AZ or
at company headquarters in San Jose, CA. We are looking for
candidates who are capable of evaluating a broad range of technology
options and be able to innovate and build new analog technology
platforms from the ground up. Candidate must display an in-depth
understanding of semiconductor device physics with emphasis on analog
applications. Accompanying coursework in analog design will be
considered an added asset. We are looking for an individual who is
comfortable interfacing with analog design and product teams,
understanding requirements and concerns and developing optimal
solutions. Candidate must be business-oriented and understand
industry trends. The development effort will be strongly tied to
future business needs and company revenue growth with strong margins.
We provide a dynamic work environment where engineers are encouraged

differentiate its products in the marketplace. Candidate will be
working as part of a team of high experienced analog technology
• PhD required in fields relating to Electrical Engineering
with specialization in Semiconductor Device Physics

Candidate must be proficient in both device and process TCAD
simulation tools; must have a in-depth understanding of the
fundamental models used in these tools and a good understanding of
the underlying physics
• Candidate must be familiar with
Cadence based layout tools
• Job opening is geared towards
highly motivated individuals with strong innovation skills; candidate
must be familiar with the latest developments in analog technology,
power device architectures and overall new technology platform
• Candidate is expected to work closely with
wafer fab engineers, quality control, device modeling and ESD groups
as part of a bigger team
• Strong communication skills and
the ability to present information and ideas in a coherent fashion
are necessary for the position
