Position Summary:

The Mobile Device Platform Architect defines Smartphone/Tablets and Wearable Devices architectures, drives performance, power, size and cost targets and collaborates with the SW architects & Algorithm developers  towards creating best in class user experience. The Senior System/HW Architect collaborates with the company's BU/Technology teams and industrial partners to define and develop new architectures using sensor, embedded processor, power management, audio and connectivity chipsets.#LI-RE1

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Analysis of Smartphone/Tablet and Wearable Devices requirements and development of architectural specifications
- Definition of platform/chipset architecture with emphasis on differentiation(performance, power, size, cost), scalability, reusability and time to market
- Definition of chipset interface electrical and logical specifications
- Platform/Chipset architecture modeling and validation
- Creation of new ideas and concepts for chipsets/products


- MSEE or Ph.D. with 7+ yrs minimum experience in system or chipset development for wireless/handheld applications
- Smartphone and/or Tablet and/or Wearable Devices development
- Good Understanding of Android and/or iOS Operating System architecture and impact on performance & power
- Experience in Sensing and Wireless Connectivity architecture
- Power & Clock supply architecture for Smartphone/Tablet/Wearable
- Sensing & Connectivity architecture for Smartphone/Tablet/Wearable
- Embedded Processor and Memory subsystems requirements for Smartphone/Tablet/Wearable
- Audio requirements for Smartphone/Tablet/Wearable
- Modeling and Simulation Tools for functionality, performance, power, cost
- Effective communication skills
